A sigh, soft as a feather, escaped David's lips as he leaned back in his office chair. The online ad for his old house was open on his screen. A small wave of nostalgia washed over him, a familiar feeling of contentment. He’d seen the listing yesterday, but he’d waited until today to really look at it.

He reached for the mug of tea he’d brewed earlier, the warmth seeping into his hands. Pictures filled the screen – a kitchen he’d spilled countless bowls of cereal in, a garden he spent hours playing in. He felt a deep sense of calm, a peace that settled deep in his chest.

“Interesting,” he murmured to himself, then leaned back and began scrolling through the photos again, thoughtfully. The familiar lines of the house, the layout of the rooms, the old oak tree in the front yard. It was like a warm blanket on a cold day.
